The merit, reliability and commitment of a winery are reflected in the characteristics of its wines; but these factors do not alone ensure the nature of typical wines of the region.
After long experience we have chosen small portions of estate land on which to plant the five varieties that guarantee the particular characteristics of Orvieto Classico.
Modern technology has helped us choose the best aspect for these vines and we enhance the quality of the yield with manual pruning. We harvest by hand to ensure that the best quality grapes only are used.
We have called the wine Terre Vineate - the name used in medieval land registers to indicate a vineyard.
The five varieties are fermented together and the care we give to this fermentation , the subsequent operations in the cellar and the bottling enable us to retain the typical characteristics of Orvieto Classico but with the special qualities of Terre Vineate.
This wine shows a deep straw-yellow colour. It has an elegant, vivid bouquet with a definite scent of hazelnut. The impact on the palate is intense yet refreshingly dry and the finish is a perfect balance between the perfume of the fruits and a touch of bitterness.
Terre Vineate is a wine for pasta dishes, for meat accompanied by rich sauce and for fish cooked in piquant fashion.
