Tasting "L'Insieme"

We are happy to invite you to Locanda Palazzone on Friday 18 November to a tasting under the auspices of "L'insieme" “Togetherness" which is a benefit fund created by the members of Onlus consisting of a group of winemakers from Langa.
These winemakers contribute Euro 5 for every bottle of the wine available under the "L'insieme" label. In its first three years this group of "contadini" have amassed the sum of Euro 325,000.
The winemakers are Elio Altare, Mauro Veglio, Giovanni Corino, Enzo and Carlo Revello, Federico Grasso, Gianfranco Alessandria, Beppe Caviola, Giulio e Paolo Morando.
Each wine is made from grapes selected from a single vineyard in Langa.

The wines are then mixed together to form a collection called "L'insieme" and they reflect the best of the local tradition (Nebbiolo da Barolo, Barbera, and from time to time, Dolcetto), as well as others of less ancient tradition such as Cabernet and Merlot.
Each individual wine in the "L'insieme" collection comes from the individual vineyard and is recognisably different to the others.
Each bottle has a personal logo on its label to distinguish it from the others. The colors of the label are blue and gold. Gold reflects the color of the summer sun that matures the bunches of grapes and blue represents the frost of winter when the land is reposing after the summer labour.
At the tasting the winemakers of Langa will each present their own bottles of "L'insieme" wine and a selection of their most famous vintages.
Each invited guest will be asked to contribute Euro 20 per person towards the "L'insieme" fund.
